The Minnesota Association for Environmental Education celebrated its 25th anniversary with cake, food, and friends at the Lebanon Hills Regional Park Pavilion on Sunday, June 25. Although the day felt more like early Fall instead of early Summer, the adults enjoyed reminiscing about time spent at MAEE events and working on the Board together. Kids had fun meeting new friends, making up their own games, and rolling up seed balls — one of the newest outreach activities developed by MAEE. Take a look at the photos below to see more from the celebration!

MAEE formed in 1992 to act on behalf of environmental education and its practitioners in Minnesota. It has gradually expanded over the years and currently strives to unify environmental education professionals while working to support, coordinate, and implement new projects that continue Minnesota’s strong heritage of environmental education.

MAEE will continue celebrating 25 years of supporting environmental education in Minnesota at its 2017 Conference at Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center, July 28-30. This family friendly event consists of fun excursions like hiking and kayaking, making a meal at the farm, and engaging sessions. To register and learn more, click here.
