2023 MAEE Conference: Equity, Partnerships, and Place

At this year's conference, MAEE aims to highlight promising and proven practices, help push the leading edge of the profession, advance equity and inclusion, and motivate the pursuit of excellence in environmental education, all while sharing and exploring the incredible resources of southeastern Minnesota. Join us for an opportunity to connect with other professionals across the state, to acquire new skills and knowledge, and to leave feeling inspired to reinvigorate and renew your programs!

Keynote Speaker

Lynnea Atlas-Ingebretson

Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer at Girl Scouts River Valleys

An outdoor enthusiast, Lynnea has extensive experience in DEI initiatives both in her current role as chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer at Girl Scouts River Valleys as well as previous positions including chief of staff at World Savvy, council member for Metropolitan Parks and Open Space Commission, and advancement and communications officer at Youthprise. Lynnea has experience in nonprofit and public administration, higher ed, and K-12 leadership, and was featured in the book "The Black and Brown Faces in America's Wild Places" by Dudley Edmondson. A former supervisor at Richardson Nature Center, Lynnea is passionate about bringing more people outside, and leads a snowboard program for BIPOC girls in North Minneapolis as well as programs supporting BIPOC adults in exploring cross-country skiing, hiking, and snowboarding.
